Zebra ZT610
The Zebra ZT610 is the high-resolution member of the ZT600 series — Zebra's heavy-duty industrial line. It prints thermal transfer and is the model to choose when print quality matters as much as throughput: it is available at 203, 300 and 600 dpi, and 600 dpi is rare in an industrial printer.
Resolution is the main decision
| Part number | Resolution | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| ZT61042 | 203 dpi | Pallet, carton and shipping labels with standard barcodes — the fastest option and enough for most logistics work |
| ZT61043 | 300 dpi | Product labels with small text, compliance panels and 2D codes in limited space |
| ZT61046 | 600 dpi | Electronics components, laboratory and pharmaceutical labels, UDI marking, tiny Data Matrix codes and fine print that has to stay scannable on a very small label |
Higher resolution is not automatically better. 600 dpi prints more slowly and needs finer ribbon and label material to be worth it. Choose it when your labels are genuinely small and dense — not as insurance.
Connectivity
Every ZT610 includes Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth and RS232 as standard. Part numbers containing EG or EC add Wi-Fi; those with E0 are wired only. Remaining digits cover media handling options such as tear-off, peel and cutter — the exact configuration is listed on each product page.
ZT610 or ZT620?
Both are ZT600 series machines with the same build quality and duty cycle. The difference is the trade-off between width and resolution:
- ZT610 — the higher-resolution option, up to 600 dpi. Choose it when labels are small, detailed or compliance-critical.
- ZT620 — the wide-format option. Choose it when the label itself is large: drums, IBCs, full pallet panels.
If neither the width nor the resolution is exceptional, a mid-range printer such as the ZT411 will do the same work for less.
Thermal transfer means choosing a ribbon
Match the ribbon to the label material, not to the printer — and at 600 dpi this matters more, because a coarse ribbon will not hold fine detail. Paper labels take wax, coated paper takes wax-resin, and synthetic labels need resin.
All ZT610 printers below are CE certified and covered by Zebra's manufacturer warranty. Matching labels and ribbons are available from stock.
