The Brother TJ-4520TN is a 4-inch industrial label printer for high-volume labelling in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and distribution, where printers often run across several shifts. As a thermal transfer printer it takes high-capacity 600 m ribbons – with the ink coated on the inside or the outside – for durable, smudge-proof labels on paper and synthetic materials, and it also prints on direct thermal labels without a ribbon. It prints 300 dpi labels up to 104 mm wide at up to 305 mm/s (12 ips), takes label rolls up to 203 mm in diameter on 38.1–76.2 mm cores and connects via USB, USB Host, RS-232 serial and Ethernet as standard, while ZPL2, EPL2 and DPL emulation makes it easy to integrate into existing systems. This version, TJ4520TNZ1, is the 300 dpi model with a 3.5-inch colour LCD and six-button navigation – sharp small text and fine 2D codes at up to 305 mm/s; a label peeler or a heavy-duty cutter can be fitted by a dealer.
