The Honeywell Youjie HF600 is an affordable corded 2D presentation scanner for retail checkouts, pharmacies, logistics desks and offices. Its two-part design – a fixed base with a scan head that adjusts to three angles – and an extra-large 80 mm scan window let users simply present items, documents or phone screens and scan hands-free. Intelligent illumination, automatic IR wake-up and a one-button mobile phone mode deliver fast reading of 1D and 2D barcodes, including QR codes on smartphone displays such as e-membership cards, mobile coupons and payment codes. This version, YJ HF600-1-2USB, is the black USB kit: it is supplied with a 2.7 m USB cable – plug it into your PC or POS and start scanning, no power supply needed.
📦 What's in the box – YJ HF600-1-2USB
- ✅ Honeywell Youjie HF600 presentation scanner – black, fixed base with a scan head adjustable to 3 angles and an 80 mm scan window – stands directly on the counter
- ✅ USB cable – 2.7 m – connects the scanner to a USB port on your PC or POS system; the scanner is powered via USB and works as a USB keyboard out of the box
- ❌ Power supply – not needed for USB – the scanner is powered via the USB cable
💡 No separate stand needed – the HF600 has its own base, and the scan head tilts to three positions to match the way you scan. The HF600 is a multi-interface scanner: an RS-232 or keyboard-wedge connection needs a different interface cable (RS-232 also needs a 5.2 V power supply) – contact our team if you need to connect it to a serial port or a keyboard wedge.
Key Features
- Two-part ergonomic design – a fixed base with a scan head that adjusts to three angles, so the scanner fits each user's scanning habits and counter layout.
- Extra-large 80 mm scan window – covers a wide scanning area and range: 13 mil UPC-A codes from 0 to 253 mm and 20 mil QR codes from 0 to 191 mm.
- One-button mobile phone mode – a quick press of the button switches to a read mode optimised for codes on smartphone and LED displays (indicated by the green LED) – ideal for e-membership cards, mobile coupons and tickets; press again to switch back.
- Intelligent illumination, high motion tolerance – three illumination options, and the default virtual global shutter mode improves motion tolerance for fast hands-free scanning; reads standard 1D and 2D codes, including QR Code, Data Matrix and PDF417.
- IR activation and sleep – the scanner wakes up automatically as soon as a code is presented and switches its illumination off between reads, reducing power consumption, extending product life and lowering operating costs.
- Multi-interface – USB, RS-232 and keyboard wedge (the interface is set by the cable); this kit is ready for USB and works as a USB keyboard by default; beeper with three volume levels and a 1 m drop rating.
Ideal Applications
- Retail POS – supermarkets, convenience stores and specialist shops
- Pharmacies – 2D codes on medicine packs and prescriptions
- Loyalty and couponing – e-membership cards, mobile coupons and vouchers on phone screens
- Logistics and warehousing – shipping labels and document control at packing and goods-in desks
- Office automation – barcodes on documents, forms and files
