Honeywell QuantumT 3580 Presentation Scanner (MK3580-31C41)

The Honeywell QuantumT 3580 (MS3580) is a compact, corded omnidirectional 1D laser presentation scanner for busy checkouts with little counter space. Its dense scan pattern – 5 fields of 4 parallel lines at 1,650 scan lines per second – reads 1D barcodes in almost any orientation, so items can simply be passed in front of the scanner without careful aiming. A press of the button switches to single-line mode for picking one barcode from a menu sheet, and the patented IR activation wakes the scanner the moment an item is presented. Use it hands-free on its weighted base or pick it up to scan bulky items. Each QuantumT 3580 version is built for one host interface – USB or RS232 – so please choose the version that matches your system. Please note: as a 1D laser scanner, it does not read 2D codes such as QR codes, nor barcodes shown on phone screens. This version, MK3580-31C41, is the black RS232 kit, supplied with a 2.9 m RS232 cable, an EU power supply and a square weighted base, ready to connect to a POS terminal or cash register with a serial port.
