The Honeywell Orbit 7120 (MS7120) is a compact, corded omnidirectional 1D laser presentation scanner and a proven classic at retail checkouts. Its 20-line scan pattern – 5 fields of 4 parallel lines at 1,120 scan lines per second – reads 1D barcodes in almost any orientation, so items can simply be passed in front of the scan window without careful aiming. The scan head tilts by up to 30° to suit different item sizes, and the scanner stands on its own built-in base – no separate stand needed – yet can be picked up to scan bulky items. Each Orbit 7120 version is built for one host interface – USB or RS232 – so please choose the version that matches your system. Please note: as a 1D laser scanner, it does not read 2D codes such as QR codes, nor barcodes shown on phone screens. This version, MK7120-31C41, is the black RS232 kit, supplied with a 2.9 m RS232 cable, an EU power supply and a wall/counter mounting plate, ready to connect to a POS terminal or cash register with a serial port.

Not sure which version you need? Choose a USB kit (MK7120-31A38 black, MK7120-71A38 white) for PCs, tablets and modern POS systems – the scanner is powered via USB, so no power supply is needed. Choose an RS232 kit (MK7120-31C41 black, MK7120-71C41 white) for POS terminals and cash registers with a serial port; it includes the required power supply with an EU plug. The scanner-only version MS7120-38-3 is a cost-effective replacement if you already have a Honeywell USB PowerLink cable. Need to read QR codes or barcodes on phone screens?
