Datalogic Magellan 3410VSi OEM Presentation Scanner (M3420-010230-00605)

The Datalogic Magellan 3410VSi OEM is the compact built-in version of the Magellan 3410VSi presentation scanner, designed for self-checkouts, kiosks and other OEM applications. It uses the same electronics and optics as the Magellan 3410VSi in a smaller, lighter housing (12.7 × 14.4 × 7.8 cm, 0.3 kg) whose integrated window mounts directly against the enclosure surface. Its 1 MP imager reads 1D and 2D barcodes from paper labels and phone screens, it powers from a single USB port, and it comes with a 3-year Datalogic warranty. This version, M3420-010230-00605, comes with a 2 m USB Type A cable – ready to plug into a PC or POS system; the power supply is not included (not needed for USB).

Key Features

• ScanSentry – uses the scanner's camera to detect scan avoidance at self-checkouts, and object sensing can even detect when a customer approaches the scanner.
• Multiple interfaces in every unit – USB Keyboard, USB COM, USB TEC, OEM (IBM) USB and RS-232; a configurable beeper and an external read indicator signal on the host connection provide good-read feedback inside the enclosure.
• Powered USB auxiliary port – for connecting an additional USB device (requires a power supply or 12 V host power; not enabled on a 5 V USB Type A host port).
• Enterprise features – image capture (BMP, JPEG), micro SD card slot, diagnostics reporting and remote management via OPOS, JavaPOS, Toshiba Remote Management (IBM Systems Director) and Wavelink Avalanche; configuration with Magellan Scanalyzer.
• Comfortable and reliable – subtle, adaptive illumination is easy on the eyes, solid-state electronics work silently, and a 3-year Datalogic factory warranty is included; EASEOFCARE service plans are available.
