The TSC Alpha-40L is a 4-inch battery-powered mobile label printer built to be carried through a full shift. It prints full-width shipping, pallet and carton labels where the work happens — at receiving, on the dock, in the van or on the shop floor — instead of walking back to a desktop printer and matching up a batch of labels afterwards.

Which version should you choose?
Every Alpha-40L prints 4-inch labels at 203 dpi using direct thermal, and every model includes Bluetooth, NFC and USB as standard. What changes between part numbers is Wi-Fi.

Some Alpha-40L versions are also MFi certified for iOS, so they pair and print from iPhone and iPad without workarounds — check the product page if your team runs Apple devices.
NFC on every model means pairing is done by tapping the device against the printer rather than working through Bluetooth settings. Where staff swap devices between shifts, that removes a recurring support call.
Direct thermal print fades over time, so the Alpha-40L suits shipping, picking and logistics labels rather than asset tags that must stay readable for years.
